Countdown is on for the Sunshine Coast’s 120th agricultural show
As we kick off our first column of the year, countdown mode is already on with less than 100 days to go to the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show, the biggest inclusive event on the Coast!
2026 is particularly special as we celebrate our 120th Show. When entertainment venues are closing and big events are being cancelled, the Show legacy proudly continues. To celebrate this milestone, we are having an afternoon tea on Saturday, June 6th to bring together Show friends over the years.
To be involved, contact the show office or email manager@sunshinecoastshow.com.au.
Competitions open on April 1st., and this year’s theme is “Celebrating 120 years of Show Traditions”. Browse through our schedules from Apiculture, Art, Ceramics, Lego, Photography, Floriculture, Cookery, Handcraft, Sweets and Preserves, to livestock with Dairy, Beef and Poultry.via our website https://sunshinecoastshow.com.au/info/competition
Our Schools on Show is also a competition section for students to show off their poetry, handwriting, collage or painting. Schools are also invited to set up a display promoting their students.
We also have an exciting Primary Schools competition. Submit a 45 to 60-second video about what kids love most about the Show for a chance to win 120 student tickets. For more information please go to https://sunshinecoastshow.com.au/legal/competitor-terms-conditions/.
The Main Pavilion will be a highlight, showcasing amazing ceramics, woodwork and art pieces that you won’t want to miss. Nominate your favourite piece for a chance to win a major prize: a weekend’s accommodation at ‘The Peninsular’ on the Mooloolaba Spit.
