Easter exhibition to spotlight life on the Range
The Blackall Range Visual Artists group proudly presents their Easter exhibition which showcases both their individual works and a feature wall exploring the uniqueness of the hinterland.
This popular free annual show will run from April 2 to April 5, 10am to 3.30pm at St Mary’s Hall in Montville with all commissions and donations to go towards maintaining the historic hall.
The exhibition promises to be a feast for the eyes with artworks available for purchase in acrylics, oil, pastel, watercolour and mixed media.
As well as showcasing their portfolio of works, members have also contributed to a collection of artworks exploring ‘Life on the Range’.
The Blackall Range Visual Artists are a group of locals dedicated to expanding their skills through workshops run by outside local artists and members.
Recently they participated in a coffee painting workshop by member Philippa Rhodes who was inspired by an Archibald Prize entry by a young refugee detained on Manus Island.
The workshop explored the unique medium by challenging the artists to build up darkness in a method similar to watercolour painting.
