A world of design finds a home in Nambour

A local business is bringing a world of design to Nambour, combining tiles and natural stone sourced from across the globe with hands-on advice for local homeowners, builders and designers.

Casa Ceramica owner Silvina Alvarez has built her Howard Street showroom into more than just a place to buy tiles.

Three years after establishing in Nambour, Silvina said the town had become an important part of the business she has built around design, personal service and materials sourced from around the world.

“Nambour holds a really special place in our hearts,” Silvina told guests at the Nambour Chamber of Commerce Coffee Catchup, hosted at Casa Ceramica on October 1.

“This showroom isn't a store to us. It's a space where we've poured a passion into curating beautiful tiles, natural stone surfaces.”

Casa Ceramica also operates a showroom at Birtinya, which Silvina said has been operating for six years.

Its Nambour showroom features tiles and natural stone sourced from countries including Italy, Spain, Morocco, Brazil and Indonesia, alongside Australian products.

But Silvina said the real point of difference was helping customers work out how those materials could come together in their homes or projects.

“We're not here to sell you something. We're here to design spaces that feel exceptional,” she said.

Nambour store sales consultant Daniel Evans added "it is the best bit of what we do and our customers really appreciate the time we take to help them plan the spaces they dream of."

The Casa Ceramica team work with builders and designers on detailed projects or helping homeowners arrive armed with plans, ideas and, increasingly, “a stack of Pinterest boards”.

"We actually love it when our customers come in with their Pinterest mood boards and we can sit with them and help them to design unique and exceptional spaces that make their homes beautiful," Silvina said.

The Casa Ceramica range includes porcelain tiles, mosaics, natural stone, pavers, outdoor tiles and stone cladding, while its team also provides design guidance on colour, layout, grout, finishes and material selection.

"We have some absolutely stunning products in store, from all around the world," said Silvina.

"But the best thing is that we have ranges to suit every budget and taste. Tiles and finishes that look luxurious, exotic and expensive don't need to cost you the earth. It is such a thrill for us to help our customers achieve the look they want without breaking the bank."

Casa Ceramica is at 134 Howard St, Nambour - https://www.casaceramica.com.au/
