Pink night to support breast cancer research

Yandina Bowling Club will turn pink on Friday, June 12 as members support a local grandmother and granddaughter raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Club assistant secretary Ann Honess and her granddaughter Pearl are going pink during June as part of the foundation’s Go Pink fundraising month, with a goal of raising $1500 for breast cancer research.

The club will hold a fundraising Bistro evening from 6pm on June 12 in support of Ann and Pearl’s campaign.

Everyone is welcome and patrons are encouraged to wear something pink for the occasion.

As well as the club’s usual members’ draw and trivia, a raffle will be held on the night, with funds raised donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Club chairman Leon Granzien said patrons were encouraged to book a table for the Bistro as it was expected to be a busy night.
