Gold and Silver splendour shines at Long Flat Hall’s Spring Ball
Long Flat Hall sparkled with elegance on Saturday, September 26, as 47 enthusiastic patrons gathered for the highly anticipated annual Cooloola Coast Dances Group’s Spring Ball. This year's theme, 'Gold and Silver', was embraced wholeheartedly by attendees, who transformed the local venue into a sea of shimmering style.
Guests went above and beyond with their interpretations of the theme, donning everything from statement gold chain necklaces and silver belts to elegant bows, tiaras, and historic brooches. The sheer effort and community spirit on display ensured the evening was both sophisticated and lively.
The night featured plenty of excitement with various prizes and raffles drawn throughout the festivities:
• Lucky Spots: Won by Joe and Kaylene, alongside Trevor and Cathy.
• Lucky Door Prize: Awarded to Cathy.
• Meat Tray Raffle: Taken home by Trevor.
• Fruit and Veg Tray Raffle: Won by Robyn.
A major highlight of the evening was the crowning of the event's best-dressed royalty. Margaret was named Belle of the Ball, turning heads in a stunning gold dress paired with a wide silver belt and a glittering silver tiara. Not to be outdone, Ian looked exceptionally dashing in a crisp white sports coat featuring a large pink carnation, perfectly accessorized with a thick gold chain necklace and a prominent gold belt buckle.
Organizers extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, noting that the community's wonderful support and creative dressing made the night an unforgettable success.
