Christmas in July theme for the next Cooloola Coast Dances Group event

The next dance night hosted by the Cooloola Coast Dances Group; the Rock ‘n Roll Waltz, will be on the Xmas in July evening on Saturday, July 18 at the Long Flat Hall

“There will be a very brief run through of the Rock ‘n Roll Waltz before the dance starts, if you let me know in advance if you are interested in attending,” said organiser, Julie Mcphail.

“We all look forward to socialising and dancing at themed dance, so come dressed in your best festive creations.

“There will be many raffles on the night, as generous members have donated special items to make the night special. It is going to be a fun evening for everyone,” she said.

“And our Tassie visitors will be attending as it is their annual pilgrimage to the Sunny Coast.”

For the August 15 dance, Max ‘n Thelma (The Silver Comets) will be playing at Long Flat Hall.

“Unfortunately, the September 19 dance is cancelled, making our one dance secured for September 5, the first Saturday of the month,” Julie said.

“On October 3, Dave (Mystique) will be playing, and on October 17 we have Neil - our Chatanooga band - playing.

“There will not be a November 21 dance this year, however Dave (Mystique) will be playing on Nov 7. The December 5 dance will also feature Dave (Mystique), and there is no dance for December 19.

“Our New Year’s Eve dance is by Cascade, at Long Flat Hall.”
