Gallery: Premier Crisafulli surprises Nicklin electorate with grassroots drop-in on Conversation Stations
Queensland Premier David Crisafulli MP made a surprise visit to the marginal Nicklin seat today (October 25), on the first anniversary of the LNP government and underscoring the importance of the region ahead of future polls. The Premier dropped in at two of local MP Marty Hunt’s regular “Conversation Stations” in the electorate: one at Sunshine Mitre 10 in Nambour, the other at the Mapleton Country Markets.“
"It was great to have the Premier in Nicklin this morning, meeting locals and hearing firsthand what matters most to our community,” Mr Hunt said.
“Together, we’re focused on delivering real outcomes that make a difference for our region. There’s a lot happening here in Nicklin.”
A Mapleton and District Community Association post said: "We were thrilled to welcome Queensland Premier David Crisafulli to our local market this morning! The Premier took time to meet with our Market convenors Paula Wright and Donna Klease, MADCA President Peter Gamgee and Vice President Max Standage, and lan Stannard from Range Community News.
"He spent the morning out and about, chatting with community members and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere that makes our market so special. It's fantastic to see our local community and the hard work of our market organisers recognised at the state level. Thank you to the Premier for taking the time to visit and connect with the Mapleton community!"
At both locations, Mr Crisafulli spent around 45 minutes chatting informally with locals, customers and volunteers, alongside Mr Hunt and staff.
This visit marks the Premier’s fourth appearance in the Nicklin electorate, highlighting its strategic importance for the LNP. The visit offered a timely opportunity for constituents to raise concerns and interact one-on-one with Queensland’s most senior political figure.
