World class care and state of the art facilities sees local clinic recognised with elite health provider award

Since the opening of a small podiatry clinic in Sippy Downs in 2017 Elite Foot Care has expanded to a clinic in Woombye, and the team has grown to include 7 podiatrists and a support staff of 8.

Directors Jay Lewis and Will O’Hara are the driving force behind Elite Foot Care, and their energy and passion for excellence in service offering, patient care, and professional development were recognised with The Hive Allied Health Practice of the Year Award at a ceremony on the Gold Coast last week.

An Australia wide award, the Hive Allied Health Practice award is given to an exceptional clinic.

“We were absolutely thrilled to be recognised with this award,” Mr O’Hara said.

“We have watched past recipients of this award and aspired to be there. It is nice to think we are considered at the same level of these high performing peers. We have an awesome team, and partners who have been a huge part of this growth.”

Mr O’Hara attributed the rapid growth of the business to their team of professionals and the level of service they offer.

“We have enjoyed a period of hyper growth quickly thanks to our state of the art facilities and medical equipment, owning and operating our own custom orthotics factory, plus the experience and specialisation of our podiatrists.

“We currently have two podiatrists finishing their endorsement which means they will be able to prescribe antibiotics, pain relief medication and offer ultrasound guided injection therapies such as cortisone steroids where appropriate.

“We are able to offer industry leading foot, leg and heel pain treatment, custom orthotics, surgical toenail services, laser treatment for fungal nail and warts and treatment for an array of other skin and nail conditions” he said.

When the opportunity came to expand the clinic at Sippy Downs, the Directors “went all in” to construct a world class facility which has set a new standard in podiatry care on the Sunshine Coast.

“Our entire team is as committed as we are to ongoing professional development and growth,” said Mr O’Hara.

“It is embedded in our company culture and reflected in the care and treatment we can offer our patients. And it means that we can offer patients world class care for complex pain and lower limb conditions, without them having to leave the coast. It is extremely gratifying to see this goal coming to life.”
