Wedding stylist earns honours at Australian Wedding Awards

Local business Enchanted Eco Events recently secured a coveted Top 3 national placing in the Australian Wedding AwardsTM, for Event Hire. The 5th annual event at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney brought together leading wedding professionals from more than 30 regions across the country.

The awards serve as the national recognition platform for regional winners. 

For Enchanted Eco Events, the journey to the national stage began in mid 2025, when the business earned 2nd place, Highly Commended in the Sunshine Coast & Hinterland regional awards in the category of Event Hire. 

“It was such a surprise and honour,” said business owner, Lissa Weckert.  “Mine is a relatively new business and it is an extremely competitive industry with so many incredible vendors.”

The regional honour placed Lissa’s business among the finalists invited to represent their area at the 2026 national awards night in Sydney. The gala event brought together more than 450 guests, including industry leaders, media, and top ranking vendors from across Australia. 

“The event recognises businesses that demonstrate exceptional professionalism, creativity, and service excellence,” Lissa said.

For Lissa the national recognition marks a milestone as a young business and reinforces the Coast’s growing reputation as a hub for high calibre, design-driven wedding talent. 

“I am looking forward to bringing my blend of sustainable, luxurious modern design to weddings and celebrations of all kinds across the region,” said Lissa. “It has been an amazing way to start the year.”
