ēthos at Alsahwa Estate recognised as Sunshine Coast's Best New Restaurant

Just over a year after opening, Palmwoods' ēthos at Alsahwa Estate has been recognised as the Sunshine Coast's Best New Restaurant at the 2026 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards QLD & NT.

The Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence are regarded as one of Australia's premier hospitality awards, recognising outstanding restaurants, cafés and caterers across food, service and presentation. Category winners progress automatically to the National Awards for Excellence later this year.

Opened in June 2025, Alsahwa Estate has quickly established itself as a destination where seasonal dining, thoughtful hospitality and a genuine connection to the land come together in Queensland's Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

ēthos serves a modern Mediterranean-inspired menu guided by the seasons and built around spray-free produce harvested from Alsahwa Estate alongside ingredients sourced from trusted growers.

Designed by Alsahwa Estate's Design Director, Alex Zabotto-Bentley, and the team at AZB Creative, ēthos pairs contemporary barn-inspired architecture with warm natural materials and expansive views across the surrounding paddocks.
