Sunshine Coast group takes message of friendship to South Africa

Eight members of the Friendship Force Sunshine Coast have travelled to South Africa on a cross-cultural trip that will keep them away from home for a month.

For 6 days they were hosted by members of the Friendship Force of Cape Town, South Africa who welcomed them into their homes and shared day to day life as well as showing them their city and surrounding country.

Later this month they will be hosted by the Friendship Force Club of Iringa, Tanzania.  The hosts are strangers on arrival, but strong friends by the end of the visit.

What they have in common is their shared humanity and commitment to ideals of Friendship Force International.  ‘A World of Friends is a World of Peace.’

The intrepid travellers have made the most of the opportunity to visit World Heritage sites such as Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Chobe National Park in Botswana.

Find photos of their journey on the Friendship Force Sunshine Coast Facebook page.
