Nambour’s Fruity Life has earned recognition for the second consecutive year in the A Better Choice retailer awards, by being voted the third best retailer in Queensland this week.

The A better choice! Retailer Program is a national program designed to educate consumers about the many benefits of shopping at their local, independent fruit and veg shop. A better choice! retailers provide their customers with a large range of quality, fresh, Australian grown produce sourced through Australia’s Central Markets.

The popular Howard Street business was established 11 years ago, and owner, Kurt Drummond, was thrilled with the award.

“To finish among Queensland’s top three again is something we are incredibly proud of. This recognition reflects the dedication of our team and the continued support of our loyal customers and community,” said Mr Drummond.

“We are particularly fortunate to have such a large number of incredible local producers. I think people are becoming more conscious about the quality of the food they eat, and where it comes from. We love to stock produce from our local suppliers and build relationships with them. The produce we can bring to the market is truly world class.”

Mr Drummond paid tribute to his hardworking staff for making Fruity Life a place that locals love to shop.

“Our shop manager, Clayton Glen and Mel Tollen, our grocery and front manager have been at Fruity Life for the entire journey,” he said.

“And Arhonda O’Brien, The Flinn family and all of our staff for the last couple of years of ranking in the top 3 in Qld, have given their best to make the shop what it is today.

“We would all like to thank the loyal customers who support our business. None of it is possible without them,” he said.
