Glass House organisations receive share of $102,084.09 in Gambling Community Benefit Funds

The Crisafulli Government has delivered approximately $19.5 million in grants as part of the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, with almost 800 community organisations benefitting from grants of up to $35,000 each.

This program supports a wide range of projects to strengthen local communities, including funding upgrades and renovations, the purchase of equipment and supplies, and the delivery of training programs and community events.

Since 1994, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund has injected more than $1.3 billion into communities across Queensland, including sporting clubs, dedicated volunteer groups and local organisations.

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund continues to attract strong interest, with Round 125 receiving more than 1,500 submissions from across the state.

Successful recipients across the Glass House electorate include:

• Eco Villages Australia Ltd: $35,000 to construct a new cabin
• Hinterland Bush Links Inc: $11,539.59 to purchase equipment, conduct training & marketing
• Maleny Arts Co Op Ltd: $6,000 to host workshops
• The Compass Institute Inc: $11,544.50 to install a solar system
• The Old Witta School Community Centre Inc: $35,000 to paint the facility
• Twin Cedars Home Owners Association Inc: $3,000 to purchase equipment

Local member for Glass House, Andrew Powell MP, said the grants would deliver significant outcomes for local community clubs and not-for-profit organisations - funding projects that will make a tangible difference for their communities.

“The Gambling Community Benefit Fund goes straight back into our communities and I’m proud that this round is supporting some of the many dedicated organisations across our region,” he added.

“Grant funding can be life-changing for community groups facing financial challenges and I congratulate the successful applicants of Round 125.

“The Crisafulli Government remains committed to backing our communities and delivering funding for projects that matter most to Queenslanders.”
