Outback comes to Maleny in joint art exhibition

THE colours and character of the Australian outback will come to Maleny for a special two-day exhibition featuring large-scale paintings and internationally acclaimed bronze sculpture.

Maleny artist Gary Myers will present his latest large works alongside sculptures by Bodo Muche in Outback in Maleny at Gary Myers Gallery on October 31 and November 1.

The joint exhibition with Robyn and Bodo Muche Studio will bring together two distinctive artistic approaches, with Myers’ bold interpretations of the Australian landscape displayed alongside Muche’s detailed bronze works.

Among the paintings featured will be Myers’ Big Red and Colours of the Outback.

The exhibition will run from 10am to 4pm on both days, with an official opening from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 31.

Visitors are invited to join the artists for a glass of wine at the opening, with RSVPs appreciated.

The event is free.
