The Maleny Showgrounds were buzzing during the week as an army of volunteers rolled up their sleeves to transform the grounds into the vibrant hub of the 12th annual Maleny Music Festival.

Running from November 7–9, the much-loved community event draws families, musicians and visitors from across the region for three days of live music, workshops and family fun. This year’s program has a special focus on children, with “The Hub” offering interactive performances, arts, games and storytelling to keep young festival-goers entertained.

Festival Director Rachel Clarke said the festival’s strength lies in its community spirit. “The Maleny Music Festival is the perfect size for children, small enough to easily explore, but full of exciting variety and music,” she said. “It’s a community-focused event where families can enjoy music and activities together.”

With tents rising, stalls taking shape and sound checks underway, the stage is set for another memorable weekend of music and friendship in the Hinterland.

• The Maleny Music Festival runs until Sunday November 9 at the Maleny Showgrounds. Visit www.malenymusicfestival.com for tickets and details.
