The Maleny Show Society is inviting the community to help shape the future look and feel of the Maleny Agricultural Show, with a new logo rollout and a social media competition now under way to name the show’s new mascot – with family passes up for grabs.
The branding refresh is part of broader preparations for the Maleny Agricultural Show, set for May 29 and 30, 2026, and reflects the show’s new theme: Make it, grow it, show it.
Alongside the online promotion, show society volunteers will be out and about in the coming weeks, starting with a presence at the Maple Street Community Centre information kiosk on Wednesday, January 21 from 9am. Residents can drop in to chat with members, learn more about plans for the 2026 show and sign up for membership, which includes discounted entry to the event.
The show society will also be supporting the Australia Day Expo later this month, donating the use of the Maleny Showgrounds free of charge for the community event hosted by the Maleny District Sport and Recreation Club. “It’s just one of the ways we support local groups and help bring events like this to life,” said Secretary Lois White.
A revamped Maleny Show Society website is also nearing completion and is expected to launch ahead of the release of the 2026 pavilion and livestock schedules in February, giving exhibitors and visitors easier access to key information.
The Maleny Show Society says community involvement – from volunteering to taking part in promotions – remains central to the show’s success and its role in bringing people together across the hinterland.
