Don’t Miss Pagliacci in Maleny – opens this weekend!
The Maleny Singers present Pagliacci — the iconic opera of passion, betrayal, and tragedy — at the Maleny Community Centre on June 14, 15, 21, and 22, all shows at 3pm.
Pagliacci tells the story of a travelling theatre troupe where real-life jealousy spills into the on-stage drama — with devastating consequences. This is opera at its most raw and gripping; a black comedy with something for everyone.
Starring guest artists Vanessa West as Nedda and Shelden Mathieson as Silvio, with Colin Dunn (Canio), Ian Rix (Tonio), and Rod Johnson (Beppe). Backed by the Maleny Singers Chorus, the Inspiration Project Choir, and a 20-piece Maleny Performing Arts Orchestra.
Musical Director: Margaret Taylor (ex-D’Oyly Carte & English National Opera)
Conductor: Kim Kirkman
