Netball for the Next Gen: All boys’ competition launches on the Sunshine Coast
The Nambour & District Netball Association (N&DNA) has launched the Sunshine Coast’s first all-boys netball competition, giving boys aged 10 to 16 years their own space to shine on the court.
Played Sunday afternoons from 4pm at the tree-lined N&DNA courts in Woombye, the new comp is packed with fast-paced action, friendly rivalry, and plenty of laughs.
N&DNA President, Tracey Mitchell, says she can’t remember the last time a boys-only comp was played locally. “It’s opened the door for a whole new generation of young players to discover how fun, social, and high-energy netball can be.”
To support and inspire the players, N&DNA has also arranged male mentors to guide the teams, offering encouragement and strong role models for the boys as they develop their game.
Whether they’re coming from mixed teams or trying the sport for the first time, the boys are proving that netball isn’t just for girls, it’s for everyone.
The eight-week season runs until 7th December.
Spaces are still open and new players are welcome. Come and play with new mates or even just enjoy a trial. Email info@nambournetball.com.au for details.
