Come and try bowls as Nambour club bounces back
Nambour’s Social Night Bowls which is now operating every Tuesday night from 6pm to 8pm.
If you’ve been curious about lawn bowls, or just want a relaxed Sunday with friends, Nambour Bowls Club is inviting the community to a free “Come and Try” afternoon as it rebuilds after March’s flood damage and celebrates 93 years serving locals.
October is the perfect time to play lawn bowls and the Nambour Bowls Club is holding a Free Come and Try afternoon on Sunday 12th October from 3pm to 5pm. This is an ideal opportunity for the local community to roll up and have a go.
People of all ages including high school age children are welcome to attend and a free sausage sizzle is available for participants. Friends, families and workmates are assured of a fun experience.
The Club will provide the bowls equipment while coaches and members will be on hand to assist and provide basic instructions as needed. Guests are asked to wear flat sole shoes, thongs or play in bare feet on the bowling green.
There is also an opportunity for beginners, social or experienced bowlers to play in Nambour’s Social Night Bowls which is now operating every Tuesday night from 6pm to 8pm. Please register or be at the club by 5.30pm each Tuesday during the Summer months. Cost is $10 each for Adults and $5 for Students. Bowls equipment is available for use if needed and beginners are most welcome.
