Nambour filmmaker turns stories into powerful business tool

FROM major theatrical productions and national advertising campaigns to local Sunshine Coast businesses, Nambour filmmaker Lauren Panrucker has built a career around one belief – stories are more powerful when people can see and feel them.

Ms Panrucker, founder and creative producer of Tide Productions, showcased her work at the Nambour Chamber of Commerce breakfast on September 3.

“I don’t believe that there is a more powerful tool in advertising than video,” she said.

“The emotion, the possibility of taking your customers on a journey, it’s just amazing.”

Founded in 2014, Tide Productions specialises in film, photography and animation, with Ms Panrucker working as a producer, director, photographer and videographer. The company says its focus is creating “beautiful, meaningful and engaging” content for organisations across Australia and internationally.

Its client list has included Disney, BHP, TED and Hills Hoist, while Ms Panrucker has also worked with major theatre productions and arts organisations.

At the Chamber event she recalled interviewing Lin-Manuel Miranda and Baz Luhrmann, working on campaigns connected with productions including Frozen and Hamilton, and producing documentary and promotional projects both locally and overseas.

Closer to home, Tide Productions has worked on Sunshine Coast campaigns including the Vitamin SC series promoting the region as a place to do business.

The company has also built sustainability into its production practices and has participated in the ecoBiz program since 2015, receiving Star Partner recognition for its energy and waste initiatives.

Ms Panrucker said despite the scale of some of the projects she had worked on, her enthusiasm remained rooted in helping organisations connect with audiences. “I am completely in love with what I do,” she said. “I can’t believe some of the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet, some of the businesses that I can proudly showcase, and how the skills that I have can make such a difference to businesses trying to get themselves in front of their audience.”
