Award-winning artists in Good Friday concert

Nathan, Brendon and Jared Walmsley together as The Walmsley Brothers will play at the Free Community Good Friday Country Gospel Concert

Sanctuary Park Church of Christ is excited to invite the community to a free concert on Good Friday featuring renowned country music artists the Walmsley Brothers.

Each an award winning talent in their own right, Brendon, Nathan and Jared Walmsley have performed together for over 30 years from outback rodeos to Australia’s major country music festivals.

The brothers have been recognised by the country music community with major wins in talent search competitions including the Queensland Champion of Champions, Tamworth, Charters Towers and Gympie’s National Country Music Muster.

Brendon has won three Golden Guitar awards.

His songs are perceptive stories about the joys and struggles of life, the importance of love and family and the strength that comes through faith.

Nathan and Jared have also pursued individual music interests having performed and played alongside some of the top names in Australian country music.

They regularly perform across southern Queensland with various bands and for many years were long term members of the National Country Music Muster Talent Search backing band “Killin’ Time”.

The brothers are married and raising families of their own, but still relish every opportunity to make music together.

“So come along, bring a blanket or chair and insect repellent,” said organiser Pastor Mark Wall.

“Kick your heels up and enjoy an evening of Country Gospel on the lawn at Sanctuary Park Church of Christ Nambour.”

  • The Free community concert will be held 5pm Good Friday April 7 (Sausage Sizzle from 4pm) at Sanctuary Park Church of Christ, 22 National Park Road. For further information phone 5441 2833 or Pastor Mark 0456 789 294.
