Ride on mini trains Nambour; An Australia Day Sunday fun event for the children

Yes the miniature trains will be running again in Nambour on Sunday January 25 in the Mini Rail Park at 1 Forence Street (off Hospital Road), Nambour.

Trains will start at 10am and run until 2.30pm (locos permitting).

“Steam, battery and petrol locomotives will haul the trains around 1 km of tracks and visitors can ride on just one train or try riding on everyone of the different trains,” said Club President, Ken Coulter.

“Children come dressed in your most original Aussie gear and you get 1 free train ride, if Dad and Mum want to get dressed in their Aussie gear, great but you won’t get a free ride ....our insurance is due!,” he said.

“In any case, for safety reasons, enclosed shoes must be worn to ride on the trains, so no thongs or footwear where the toes or foot is exposed. And a reminder that these are miniature trains and our locos do have weight limits as to the load they can haul.”

There is plenty of parking just 100 metres away at the QR railway station car park and there will be a sausage sizzle and cold drinks. Plus the railway is small dog friendly.

Cost is 1 ride for $3, 6 rides for $15.00 or 20 rides for $50. EFPOS is available and children 4 years and under ride free when travelling with a fare paying adult.
