Nambour Museum marks 30 years of preserving local history
Nambour Museum president Clive Plater has invited the community to join the milestone celebration and enjoy the displays and attractions on offer.
Nambour Museum will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free, family-friendly community event on Saturday July 25.
The museum will open from 10am–3pm, with visitors invited to explore two floors of local history, outdoor attractions and a special exhibition marking the anniversary.
Entertainment and displays will include a performance by the Sunshine Brass Band and a collection of classic cars.
The anniversary celebration will provide an opportunity for longtime supporters, local families and visitors to explore the museum and learn more about the people, places and events that have shaped Nambour.

Mr Plater also said the museum would need a new generation of younger volunteers interested in local history to secure the long term survival of the museum in its current form.
