Registrations open as Nambour netball expands pathways and cuts costs for families
CLUB PROFILE: Nambour & Districts Netball
Nambour & Districts Netball Association (N&DNA) is entering an exciting new growth phase, calling on local families, players and volunteers to be part of a club building real momentum across the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Welcoming girls and boys from age 5-18 years, N&DNA continues to strengthen its reputation as an inclusive, community-first association offering fun, fitness and friendship, alongside clear development pathways for young athletes.
The association has introduced sibling discounts for the first time, easing cost pressures for families, and continues its commitment to affordability with no uniform fees. Brand new uniforms are loaned to players & teams for the duration of their 2026 season.
With netball now played by more than one million Australians, the sport continues to thrive nationwide, and that growth is being reflected locally through strong interest in junior registrations.
Registrations are now open for Saturday divisional games, and families are encouraged to register now to secure their child’s place for the season. Players of all skill levels are welcome, whether they are new to netball or returning to the game.
One of the biggest milestones at N&DNA this season is the launch of the association’s first-ever all-boys representative team, a historic step reflecting the rapid growth of boys’ netball in the region. This sits alongside a strong and well-established representative program, supported by a performance partnership with Athletic Republic, giving athletes access to professional strength, conditioning and injury-prevention training.
Representative pathways are designed as a step up from Saturday divisional competitions, with a faster pace and games played against the best junior athletes across the state. This season will see N&DNA Junior Rep teams and all-boys athletes compete against other teams at the Junior State Age Championships in July. Trials to join the boys team are taking place on 11 February and boys aged 12-14 who have ever played AFL or basketball are encouraged to apply, as those skills are transferable.
N&DNA’s rep pathways are designed to support players who want to challenge themselves while remaining grounded in a positive, supportive club culture.
