Palmwoods, ready your ears (and your bowlo beers).
Melbourne rock band Mighty Horse (pictured) are stampeding into the Palmwoods Bowls Club on Saturday 4th October, dragging along the delightfully noisy Cranky Val as support act.
For Mighty Horse frontman Tony Jackson this gig is personal. “My dad Dave, and step-mum Val (not cranky) live there, so I’ve logged plenty of hours at the Bowlo blues nights and downing schooners at Rick’s. Palmwoods is basically my second hometown”
The band are out spruiking their epic double vinyl LP Road Movie Dream, nearly 80 minutes of rock, ska, Americana and psychedelia, a record that’s longer than most relationships and twice as messy.
So ditch Netflix, tell the babysitter you’ll “be back by midnight” (you won’t), and come watch Mighty Horse and Cranky Val shake up the Palmwoods Bowls Club 7pm Sat, October 4.
