Palmwoods association calls community to AGM
The Palmwoods Community & Business Association Executive.
Palmwoods residents and business owners are invited to help shape the community’s future at the Palmwoods Community & Business Association’s annual general meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday, July 21).
The meeting will begin at 6pm at the CWA Hall, 11 Main Street, Palmwoods, with Div 5 Cr Winston Johnston OAM serving as presiding officer.
The AGM will review the association’s work during the past year, including its achievements, community engagement, finances, membership and administration.
Updates will also be presented on the Soil & Soul subcommittee’s activities, including working bees, composting, its pollinator patch and community workshops.
All committee positions will be declared open, with elections to be held for president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary and treasurer.
Members will also consider proposed constitutional changes, major projects and grant opportunities, before the meeting opens for general business and motions from the floor.

The association said the AGM was an opportunity for locals to become involved in its work and help build a strong, connected Palmwoods community.
