Fresh faces take the reins at Palmwoods Community & Business Association

Palmwoods Community & Business Association held their AGM on Tuesday  December 2 and are happy to announce their new office bearers under the overseeing of Cr Winston Johnston: President  Fraser Austin; Vice-President Kay Nixon; Treasurer Kristina Lewis; Secretary Paul Brandenburg; PR & Social Communications Manager Sarah Wright.

Gratitude was shown to those who have kept things going and for the 10 year birthday of the Community Garden ‘Soil & Soul’, but we look forward to a more vibrant 2026 with these positions being filled and the impetus of the success of the Bush Dance paving the way for a number of new community events planned for next year.

The PCBA gives the opportunity as a group to communicate with Sunshine Coast Council and a collective voice for issues of concern. We hope to see more community groups and businesses involved as well as enthusiastic individuals who can be part of this. It is a great way for newcomers to the town to get to know people and for better communication when co-ordinating events in the town.

Palmwoods has a lot to offer but we can all work more to creating a safe, vibrant, sustainable and caring community. If you would like to know more about the PCBA please email: contactpcba@gmail.com or drop by The Little Book Nook (Tues -Sat, 9am-2pm) to leave contact your details with Kay.
