Palmwoods State School Christmas Festival to showcase the spirit of Christmas
The spirit of Christmas is set to shine in Palmwoods as the Palmwoods State School P&C hosts the Palmwoods Christmas Festival, proudly supported by Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch.
On Sunday, November 30, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, the school oval will transform into a festive playground filled with free activities for families and children of all ages. Visitors can enjoy live music, local dance performances, face painting, craft stations, a rock climbing wall, and a friendly petting zoo complete with pony rides.
Adding to the festive atmosphere will be a sausage sizzle, popcorn, and snow cones, along with a selection of local market stalls offering handmade gifts and treats, perfect for early Christmas shopping.
As the sun sets, the celebrations will continue from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with Carols by Twilight and the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus himself. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or camp chair and settle in for an evening of song and cheer.
The Palmwoods State School community turned out in force and showed it’s true spirit late last month at the Music in the Moonlight fundraiser, which raised in excess of $21,000.
“It was an incredible effort from our sponsors, school families, and broader community,” said P&C Association President, Jack Gaffney. “It really did show what a close and generous community we have here in Palmwoods and we are looking forward to celebrating Christmas together.”
The event promises to capture the true heart of the Palmwoods community - festive, welcoming, and full of Christmas joy. While most activities are free, don't forget to bring some cash along for the market stalls.
