PCBA prepares to mark 50 years

THE Palmwoods Community and Business Association is preparing to celebrate half a century of community advocacy and events next year.

Secretary Paul Brandenburg, pictured,  told the meeting research into the association’s archives showed it was formed on September 17, 1977, under an earlier name.

Mr Brandenburg acknowledged generations of committee members and volunteers who had organised events, represented community concerns and worked with different levels of government. “Next year the PCBA turns 50,” he said.
