Enjoy a cuppa with us after morning of BushCare

Petrie Creek BushCare News with Norm Morwood

One of the many pleasures of BushCare with our groups is the cuppa at the end of a couple of hours spent re-establishing local native animal habitat beside beautiful Petrie Creek.

Pictured, above, is what the cuppa looks like, although the table full of goodies is a bit too far away in the photo to show the extensive range. Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council and BushCare leader Megan for this one at Florabunda Pocket in early October.

If you’d like to join us at one of our working bees, the next opportunities are:

• Florabunda Pocket, Woombye: Saturday, November 7, starting at 7am. Meet near the back rugby oval at Victory Park, Woombye. Enter via Laidlaw Road, turning right through the large wire mesh gates just before the gymnastics hall, and follow the road until you see us.

• Namba Creek, Nambour: Saturday, November 21, starting at 7am. Access is through the main gate of the Model Rail Park off Florence Street, Nambour.

To join in, wear protective bush clothing, including long sleeves, long pants, enclosed shoes or boots, and a hat. All tools are provided.

Let us know you’re coming by emailing me, or simply turn up on the day.
