From raw vulnerability to infectious grooves, two of Australia’s most distinctive musical storytellers will take the stage at Nambour’s The Presynct on Saturday, May 11.

Melbourne electric violinist and vocalist Xani brings her newly released album Keep Moving to life in an intimate live setting, joined by acclaimed Sydney artist Elana Stone for a powerful double bill of fearless, genre-defying performance.

Music with heart and electricity

Known for her work with Clare Bowditch, Tim Rogers and on ABC’s Spicks and Specks, Xani’s latest project Keep Moving is the product of a year spent confronting grief, illness and inner turmoil – and channeling it into searing, unconventional music.

“I wrote these songs as guides for myself on how to get through,” Xani said. Crafted in her bedroom and shaped during online sessions with Nashville songwriter Clare Reynolds, the songs are deeply personal. “A lot of the writing process was emotional therapy,” she said.

Drawing inspiration from Krautrock icons CAN and Kraftwerk, the album pairs lo-fi production with high emotional stakes, combining electric violin, drums and vocals in a sound described as both raw and arresting.

Joining Xani is ARIA Award-winner Elana Stone – a powerhouse performer known for her work with All Our Exes Live in Texas and Missy Higgins. Expect playful storytelling, rich harmonies and an unpredictable mix of humour and heartbreak.

Together, the pair offer an eclectic, engaging night of live music, celebration and catharsis.

“This show is for anyone who loves honesty in music, a bit of dancing, and a lot of feeling,” Xani said.

• Doors open 5pm at The Presynct, Currie Street, Nambour. All ages welcome. Tickets via www.thepresynct.com.au.
