The 2025 QLD Garden Show is on its way, with attractions for the whole family
The clock is ticking down and all the preparations for the 2025 Queensland Garden Show are in full steam for what is shaping up to be a great event.
Information is a key component of the Queensland Garden Show and this year there will be a fantastic lecture and demonstration program featuring many of Australia's leading gardening experts, including several Gardening Australia presenters.
Many visitors are now taking advantage of the very reasonably priced 2 and 3 day passes to make sure they don't miss a thing.
For some personal help with gardening problems, you can visit the HMA Plant Clinic, where you’ll find a dedicated team of gardening experts on hand all weekend to answer your questions and give free personal advice. The Plant Clinic will be located outside the oval across from the Show Information Office.
With more than 100 free talks spread across three exciting days, there’s bound to be something that piques your interest. The speaker lineup changes daily, so be sure to check the schedule and plan your visit ahead of time.
If you are looking for expert insights or something a little more specialised, Friday might be the perfect day for you. Catch Yana Shiffermuller as she gives the basics on growing dragon fruit, or join Megg Miller as she reveals her insights into 'what makes a good egg'.
Be sure to swing by the Cook’s Garden Stage on Friday too, where Dominique LivKamal will be sharing her wisdom on heart health garden herbs - what herbs in your garden can help you prevent heart disease.
The excitement continues into the weekend, with Gardening Australia’s Costa Georgiadis joining us on both Saturday and Sunday. Expect plenty of energy and inspiration as Costa celebrates community, connection, and the magic of plants.
Also gracing the Cook’s Garden Stage over the weekend is renowned chef Matt Golinski, alongside several celebrated Curated Plate chefs. They’ll be cooking up a storm and serving a taste of culinary brilliance you won’t want to miss.
And remember - many exhibitors are experts in their field and love sharing garden tips with visitors.
2025 Speaker Program
Thanks to Zoom Garden and Rocky Point, the Coffee Cup Refill Station is open for business again in 2025.
Here’s how it works: Simply purchase your favourite coffee at the Show, and after you’ve savoured every drop, take your takeaway cup to the Coffee Cup Refill Station.
They will replenish your cup, not with more caffeine but with something just as invigorating for your green soul – potting mix and a small plant for you to take home and nurture.
You can visit the Coffee Cup Refill Station on the oval during these hours:
• Friday 11am – 3pm
• Saturday 10am – 3pm
• Sunday 10am – 3pm
A great day out for the whole family
Queensland Garden Show is a great day out for all the family and there are lots of activities for budding gardeners.
There will be a kids’ playground with giant slide, tea cup ride and jumping castle.
This is all free, and runs for the duration of the event. Don’t forget to head over to the Kids Garden Patch where you’ll find craft and potting activities, something to start your little green thumb on their gardening journey.
