Remembrance Day services around the Coast
Remembrance Day is a day for people to acknowledge the service personnel who have died while serving, including in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. In Australia and many other countries, people are encouraged to wear a poppy, attend a service and observe a minute’s silence at 11am on 11 November.
This year, more than 100 RSL Sub Branches across Queensland will be holding Remembrance Day services for their local communities, inviting everyone to come together and commemorate the service and sacrifice of our Defence personnel.
