School holiday theatre program gives teens a creative outlet
Local teenagers will have the chance to boost their confidence and explore the world of performance when D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective runs its School Holiday Theatre Program in Nambour on December 17.
The full-day workshop at the Black Box Theatre runs from 9am to 3pm and is designed to help young people aged 12–17 develop skills in acting, movement, improvisation and ensemble work. No experience is required.
Supported by professional theatre artists, participants will learn the fundamentals of theatre-making in a hands-on, creative setting. The program encourages teamwork, builds communication skills and gives young people a safe space to express themselves.
D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective says the workshops offer a vibrant outlet during the school break, helping teenagers discover their own voices while learning to work collaboratively. The company aims to make theatre accessible for young people from all backgrounds, nurturing both emerging performers and creative thinkers.
Based on the Sunshine Coast, D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective is a multicultural contemporary theatre company known for its education and training programs across local schools and communities. It delivers high-quality theatre experiences designed to inspire and empower young people.
