Colourful sculpture exhibition inspires Spring gardens

Vibrant sculptures and pottery designed to add pops of colour to outdoor and indoor living spaces will be showcased at the annual Sculpture Garden Exhibition this October.

Presented by the Buderim Craft Cottage’s Pottery Group, the Exhibition will feature a captivating collection of original ceramics that blend beauty and whimsy, Exhibition Director, Tara Ahern said.

“There’s colourful birdbaths, functional platters, wall plaques, intriguing creatures and sculptural statement pieces that will surprise, delight, and spark conversation. The Exhibition focuses on the very best contemporary work from our talented group of clay artists.

“Pieces were painstakingly crafted and decorated over many days, or even weeks, and kiln-fired to high temperatures to withstand the rigours of Australia’s harsh outdoor environment,” Ms Ahern said.

Now celebrating its 29th year, the Sculpture Garden Exhibition has become one of Australia's largest and most anticipated exhibitions dedicated to ceramic sculpture and pottery.

The free exhibition runs daily from 9am to 4pm from Saturday October 10 to Sunday October 18 in Buderim Craft Cottage’s Atrium Gallery, 5 Main St Buderim. Artists like Rosanna Simonetti can be viewed in action creating new work daily between 10am and 2pm from Monday October 12 to Friday October 16.
