Old Time Dance Group moves to new venue for Springtime dance

The August Old Time Country Hall dance held at Belli was well attended by patrons and included some new faces on the dance floor and behind the camera.

A huge welcome and thankyou to everyone who came along to join our group, enjoy the music, dancing, friendships - old and new, and the beautiful Belli Community Hall.

“Our September dance is our Springtime dance and we hope to see everyone back, spritely and back tapping your toes,” said organiser, Julie McPhail.

“The Cooloola Coast Dances Group have been proud to hold the past 14 monthly dances at the Belli Community Hall and wish to say a huge thankyou to the Hall Committee for allowing us to hire the hall,” she said.

“The floor was great to dance on. We wish them well with their future endeavours.

“From September 20th, the Cooloola Coast Dances Group will be holding the monthly Old Time Country Hall dances in the Kandanga Public Hall from 7pm till 11pm,” Julie said.

“The music will be provided by our regular muso, Chris, and he can't wait to play his catchy tunes at the new venue. The charge for the entry is $15 per adult which covers a light supper, a great night of live music and hall hire.

“Being our Springtime dance we hope the weather will becoming warmer for our dance patrons,” she said.

“We look forward to seeing everyone at the dances at the Kandanga Public Hall on September 20th, October 18th and November 15th. The dances will continue from April through to November 2026 also at the Kandanga Public Hall.”

The Old Time Dances are suited to all ages, experienced dancers and newcomers alike.
