Gallery: Eclectic mix of vintage and collectable wares find new life at Saint Atlas

Store owner, Zoey Cash, says she was inspired to collect unusual pieces by her grandmother.

Tucked away in Bury Street Nambour is Saint Atlas, a gem of a shop that is packed with lovingly curated vintage and antique furniture, homewares and clothing.

Former police officer and store owner, Zoey Cash, says she was inspired to collect unusual pieces by her grandmother.

“Nan was an op-shopper back in the 70’s and 80’s, long before it was a popular thing to do,” Zoey said.

“I loved visiting Op-Shops with her, I think vintage is in my blood!”

Zoey worked for some time at El Badi in Mooloolaba, and Maple Haus in Maleny.

“It occurred to me that I had collected enough pieces myself to start my own business, and this allowed me to indulge my love of colour, and funky Mid Century Modern pieces.

“The move into my own business felt like a very natural decision and happened organically.”

While the shopfront is open in Nambour, most of Zoey’s customers typically buy online as they come from further afield, from Byron Bay, Sydney and Melbourne.

Saint Atlas houses a truly eclectic mix of Art Deco, antique, MCM and contemporary items, and will soon begin sourcing French-origin pieces that sing to the same spirit of craftsmanship, charm, and timeless design.

“At Saint Atlas, we honour sustainability by curating one-of-a-kind resale furniture, decor, and fashion,” Zoey explained.

“Each piece is chosen to inspire individuality and celebrate the beauty of timeless design. It is incredibly gratifying to know that these beautiful and unique pieces will find another life with someone who appreciates them.”

Saint Atlas is at 10 Bury St, Nambour and is open from Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
