Hop into a school holiday adventure on the Sunshine Coast. Explore a vibrant line-up of activities designed to spark curiosity and bring the whole family together. Choose from outdoor adventures, creative workshops and wildlife experiences – there’s plenty for kids and grown-ups to enjoy.

 Easter Egg Hunt 
Join a late Easter Bunny egg hunt at Bankfoot House. Search the gardens for hidden eggs while learning a bit of local history. Stick around to check out the museum or enjoy a picnic.

Bungee Run Inflatable Challenge 
Test your speed and strength on our giant inflatable bungee run, as you race against friends and family. But there's a twist, watch out for the cords pulling you back! It’s free, fun and open to all ages.

New Butterfly Garden holiday sessions 
Celebrate the opening of the new Butterfly Garden with hands-on sessions for kids. Learn about local species, life cycles, host plants and pollinators through nature play, creative activities and “little scientist” adventures. Sessions are $10 per participant and suited to a range of ages (from 3+).  
When: sessions run from Saturday 4 to 15 April

TurtleCare Hatchling Club A hands-on holiday experience designed for curious young nature lovers. Children will explore how turtles live, nest and survive on our coastline through fun STEM challenges, teamwork activities and creative learning. Guided by TurtleCare volunteers, this session helps kids understand the threats turtles face and how we can all help protect them (no live turtles). When: Tuesday 14 April 2026 (8:30–10:30am and 11am–1pm)

Secret Garden: live music picnic  
Pack a picnic and unwind with live music among the gumtrees at Secret Garden. This relaxed, family-friendly afternoon features Jack Raymond (folk and roots) and Ryan Tracey

First Nations Family Fun Day A free community day at Bankfoot House with hands-on cultural activities, bush foods, storytelling, markets and guided tours. Plus, a Corroboree featuring a smoking ceremony, dance and didgeridoo.

Floral Wristband or Pin Workshop
Join Nadine McDonald Dowd (Yuwi) from Blak Botanics for a hands-on, nature-filled creative workshop. Design and make your own floral wristband or pin using native flowers and plant fibres and learn about the plants that grow on Country. All materials and equipment are provided.

Gemboree

Free art activities in the Gallery
Caloundra Regional Gallery is currently exhibiting the Local Contemporary Art Prize 2026 and Local Student Art Prize 2026, featuring a diverse range of artworks from local artists of all ages. Relax in the cool of the Gallery and enjoy our free art activities for young ones. The Art Trail is a challenging hunt for clues within the exhibitions. In the Art Room, families can draw and design their own holiday postcards and learn origami craft.
