Young readers invited to zoo adventure workshop

Palmwoods children are being invited to let their imaginations run wild when author Tina Strachan visits The Little Book Nook for a free writing and craft workshop on Saturday May 9.

The session begins at 10am at the bookshop, Shop 5, 4-6 Little Main Street, Palmwoods, next to Home Grown Café.

Ms Strachan is the author of The Wilder Zoo series and will lead a fun, hands-on workshop designed for children aged eight to 12.

Young participants will be encouraged to imagine life in their own zoo, exploring where they would sleep, what they would eat and which animals they would play with.

The workshop will also guide children through story structure, scene setting, character creation and adventurous plot ideas for their own zoo-themed tale.

The session is free, with bookings essential. Duration is expected to be between 45 minutes and one hour.
