Food, fun & music return to Mill St for Tramfest

Nambour’s favourite Christmas street party is back, with TramFest set to light up the Western Tram Terminus in Mill Street on Saturday November 29 from 4pm to 9pm.

The free, family-friendly event will feature live music, market stalls, food vendors, a pop-up bar and plenty of festive cheer – all in support of the town’s iconic Tram Project.

Organised by The Nambour Tramway Co, the event brings the town together and raises funds for the long-awaited tram. The steampunk-style tram designed by local artist Russell Anderson is part of a broader plan to revitalise the CBD and celebrate Nambour’s proud history as a sugar town.

Visitors will enjoy “Nambour Live and Local” performances by two school bands from St John’s College and a great new band called ‘Tucana’ to back up one of TramFest’s favourite all time bands, ‘Lazy Guns’ and jazz singer Imogen Grace.

Santa will also make a special appearance with free gifts for children, and there’ll be a Burnside High, STEM fundraiser in the form of the legendary Toad Races, plus market stalls and family entertainment throughout the evening.

Although the tram project has experienced regulatory delays, organisers remain confident it will be completed by 2027.

“TramFest is about more than raising money – it’s about bringing people together and keeping the dream alive,” said Nambour Tram Co Chair Greg Rogerson.
