Visit Yandina celebrates milestone and calls for community support

Visit Yandina is celebrating three successful years of promoting the town and its local businesses as it prepares to enter its fourth year.

The volunteer-driven initiative, a sub-committee of the Yandina Chamber of Commerce, has worked hard to showcase Yandina as a must-visit destination, boosting local business spending and community pride.

Project Manager Toni Eggleston said the campaign had achieved significant milestones since its launch.

“We’ve achieved some big goals, from building a strong framework for future campaigns to increasing visitation and driving local business spending,” she said.

“At its heart, Visit Yandina is about more than just tourism: it’s about destination marketing, which plays a vital role in telling Yandina’s story, highlighting what makes our town unique, and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.”

Among its achievements are the creation of the Visit Yandina website (www.visityandina.com.au), a growing social media presence, and the production of a printed Visitor Guide and Map, with 10,000 copies distributed to tourism centres and local businesses.

As Visit Yandina looks to 2026, Ms Eggleston said community support was essential to maintain momentum.

“By promoting Yandina as a must-visit destination and telling our story, we not only attract visitors but also strengthen the local economy and ensure Yandina continues to grow as a vibrant, welcoming place to live, work, and visit,” she said.

Local businesses are encouraged to register for an annual membership of $350, which includes a dedicated business profile on the website, inclusion in the printed guide, regular social media promotion, and opportunities to participate in events and campaigns.

Businesses and individuals can also become sponsors for $700, receiving added exposure while supporting the long-term growth of Yandina.
