Coffee with a cause: Wishlist kiosk opens at Hospital
Early risers, hospital staff and visitors enjoyed their morning brew with a purpose yesterday as Wishlist officially opened its new Coffee House Kiosk at Nambour General Hospital.
From 6.30am, a steady stream of customers gathered outside the kiosk on Hospital Street to grab a coffee and support local healthcare. The new kiosk is the latest initiative by Wishlist—your local hospital charity—to help fund better services for patients, families and staff across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region.
Wishlist CEO Brendan Hogan said the kiosk is a simple but meaningful way to make a difference.
“Every cup of coffee purchased will help fund vital medical equipment, patient support services, research projects and family accommodation close to hospitals,” Mr Hogan said. “It’s a simple way to support our healthcare heroes and make a difference while enjoying a coffee.”
Known for its welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, the Wishlist Coffee House concept also provides comfort during times of health trauma. The Nambour kiosk continues that mission, offering freshly brewed coffee and treats with all proceeds going back into the local health system.
The grand opening saw support from staff, patients, visitors and members of the community who turned out in support of the cause.
Wishlist continues to deliver on its promise of bringing even better healthcare closer to home, one coffee at a time.
