Big day at the barn is back with a charity focus
The Yandina Feed Barn will kick off 2026 with its much-loved Annual Charity and Education Day later this month, promising a lively, family-friendly morning packed with hands-on learning and community spirit.
The Big Day at the Barn will be held on Saturday February 21 from 8am to 1pm, turning the popular local feed store into a hub of activity for animal lovers, families and anyone keen to learn more about animal care and rural products.
“It is that time of the year again and we are kicking off 2026 with another fun-filled event,” owner Cara Ceccato said. “Our Annual Charity and Education Day is one you don’t want to miss.”
Visitors can expect a sausage sizzle, face painting, camel rides, lucky door prizes and NexGard giveaways throughout the morning. The event also offers the chance to chat with industry experts and browse displays from product representatives including Hygain, Kong and Prydes.
Education is a strong focus of the day, with Megan Simpson Body Worker attending, Kohnke samples and products available, and The Soul Barn presenting a display and workshop.
Cara said the aim was to create a relaxed, welcoming event that combined learning with fun. “It’s a fun, family-friendly day packed with learning, giveaways and good vibes – all supporting a great cause,” she said.
Locals are encouraged to tag a friend, bring the kids and spend the morning at the barn, whether they stay for an hour or the whole event.
