Winter creativity to warm the soul at Yandina Winter Art & Design Market, June 1

Stevens Street in Yandina will come alive with colour and creativity on Sunday June 1, as the Winter Art & Design Market brings together a vibrant showcase of local talent, craftsmanship and community spirit.

Running from 9am to 2pm, this curated open-air event celebrates the best of the region’s makers, with more than 20 stalls offering a diverse range of handmade treasures — from original artworks and ceramics to jewellery, leather goods, fashion, homewares and more.

“We’ve invited some of the region’s best artists and makers to pop-up for our Winter Art & Design Market — it’s all about celebrating creativity,” said Toni Eggleston, owner of Stevens Street Gallery, which hosts the event. “Whether you’re after something special for yourself or a meaningful gift, you’ll find thoughtful, one-of-a-kind pieces here.”

The market offers more than just shopping — it’s a chance to connect with the makers, learn about their creative process, and discover the inspiration behind their work, adding depth and meaning to every piece you take home.

“It’s about showcasing the incredible talent we have in our region,” said Business Yandina Secretary Gail Ferguson. “When you buy from a local artist or maker, you’re not just purchasing a beautiful object — you’re supporting someone’s passion and their creative journey.”

Beyond the market stalls, there will be live music, creative workshops, and free face painting for kids. Adding even more delight to the day, Vincent von Rabbit the puppet will be roaming the street with interactive entertainment for all ages — bringing big laughs, cheeky charm, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Stevens Street’s much-loved cafés, bars and boutiques will also be open, making it a great day out for the whole family.
