A new committee for Palmwoods Progress Association
The Palmwoods Progress Association Inc. (PPA) elected a new committee at its annualgeneral meeting on May 8th.The new committee has a shared vision of building a strong community connection byrepresenting the wishes and views of Palmwoods residents. They are also keen to offer community support, while raising awareness of the history and character of thetown.The newly elected president, Mariannje Morice, has a background in arts and eventmanagement. The newly elected vice president, Glenn Wilson, is experienced in developing and improving the culture of organisations. Jenny McCafferty will continue to provide her strong organisational skills as Secretary. Mark McCafferty has stepped into the role of Treasurer, replacing Geoff Littler who has retired after providing long community service.The new committee are united in their belief that the PPA will engage and encouragePalmwoods residents to contribute and share ideas concerning the future of theircommunity, inviting a strong sense of ownership.
