LNP to revitalise Maleny Bowls Club with $1.217 million investment

Member for Fisher, Andrew Wallace MP and an LNP, led by Peter Dutton, have committed to transforming the Maleny Bowls Club with a significant investment of $1.217 million if elected in the Federal election. This funding will support crucial upgrades, including a new canopy, an artificial green, and enhancements to the club.

Mr Wallace expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating; "What I love about Maleny is the strong sense of community and warmth, celebrated by locals and visitors alike. Part of that welcoming spirit is a result of the local clubs and community groups that bring people together.

“The Maleny Bowls Club does just that – combatting loneliness by getting Maleny active and fostering meaningful connections. I know that this upgrade will enable the club to continue this vital work for many years to come. Only a Liberal National Government will get Australia back on track by supporting our local clubs and sporting venues with the investment they need to continue to thrive."

Brett Gillis, Secretary of the Maleny Bowls Club, also welcomed the commitment, highlighting the positive impact it will have on the community, saying; "The possibilities are endless for how we can support the community with an upgrade like this. It’ll transform how we connect with local groups, clubs, and schools, and how we train and compete. This is a huge show of good faith in our club and the Maleny community, and I’m so pleased that the LNP – and Andrew Wallace – have committed to supporting us in this way."
