Arioso Chamber Ensemble presents “Conversations in Counterpoint”

Arioso Chamber Ensemble presents “Conversations in Counterpoint” 3.00pm Saturday 1 November at Cooroy Memorial Hall.

This concert showcases a rich tapestry of music for violin, viola da gamba and harpsichord by Telemann, JS Bach and Buxtehude, where the viola da gamba takes an equal and expressive role in the musical dialogue. The concert also features Purcell’s sublime aria Music for a While, alongside Vivaldi’s radiant motet In Furore and the exhilarating aria Agitata da due venti. Performed by Arioso Chamber Ensemble: Judit Molnar (soprano), Margaret Caley (baroque violin), Frank Fodor (baroque viola), Shannon Scheltema (viola da gamba) and Janet Brewer (harpsichord), this is a unique opportunity to hear baroque music performed in an historically informed manner.

• Tickets are available online at www.ariosochamberensemble.com or cash at the door: $40 Adult, $35 Concession, $15 School Students.
