Bush dance to raise funds for families in need

Local charity Aus Living Support will bring the community together for an evening of music, dancing, food and fundraising at Palmwoods Hall on Saturday, July 4.

Guests are encouraged to dust off their boots and join in a night of traditional bush dancing, laughter and community spirit.

Live music will be provided by The Swag and Fiddle Bushdance Band, with the evening also featuring raffle prizes and food and drinks available for purchase.

Organisers say the event will offer a family-friendly atmosphere and is open to everyone, from experienced bush dancers to those taking part for the first time.

Funds raised from the evening will help Aus Living Support continue delivering programs and services for domestic violence survivors and other vulnerable individuals and families.

“Community events like our Bush Dance are not only a great way to have fun and connect with others, they also help us continue providing much-needed support to people doing it tough,” said Aus Living Support’s Leanne Harrison.

Community members, local businesses, families and friends are being encouraged to attend and support the cause.

Aus Living Support provides programs and services aimed at promoting safety, wellbeing, independence and community connection among people experiencing hardship.

The Bush Dance Fundraiser will be held at Palmwoods Hall, with doors opening at 5.30pm. Tickets $15 for adults and $5 for children aged six to 15. A family ticket, covering two adults and two children, costs $35. Children under six free. Tickets: auslivingsupport.org.au/events.
