Charity to open landmark facility in September to meet growing community need
Local charity The Everyday Foundation will open the doors of its new Currie St, Nambour facility on Thursday, September 3, marking an historic milestone for the organisation and the community it serves.
The building is the first of its kind on the Sunshine Coast and will bring all the organisation's programs together under one roof for the first time. This includes a low-cost grocery store, emergency relief program, meal-support kitchen, cafe, and Hope Hampers Christmas initiative.
General manager Karen Gullo said the new facility was designed with the community and its growing needs in mind.
"For more than 20 years we have been doing our work across different spaces, but this building is part of an exciting new future for The Everyday Foundation," Karen said.
"Now, the thousands of families and individuals we support every year will be able to access all our services in one place."
The grand opening will be marked with a special community event, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.
