“We have worked in accounting and financial services since 2008 and 2009 and that experience has really shaped our understanding of how best to help business owners,” said Corinne. Carly and Corinne had previously worked together in an accounting firm and this experience has informed the approach to bookkeeping they have taken in their own business.

“Carly and I worked together for five years in an accounting firm, and I guess we discovered that we were aligned in terms of the way we looked after our clients,” Corinne said.

“So it seemed like a natural progression for us to go into practice together,” Carly added. Corinne is a qualified accountant, and she brings a strong understanding of tax accounting to the bookkeeping practice.

“We have seen it all from different angles,” she explained. “And we both have a very solid understanding of what accountants are looking for, which gives us a definite edge over other bookkeepers.”

Having such long-term experience in accounting firms, Carly and Corinne are able to work seamlessly with their client’s accountants, which can also minimise stress for their clients.

“We know the industry terminology, and having an accounting background means that we know what makes things easier from the accountant's perspective.” said Corinne.

“Over the years we have seen businesses engage a bookkeeper to help with bookwork and reduce accounting fees, but they have had bad experiences which ended up complicating things and costing more. Again, this is where both experience and qualifications are critical,” Carly said.
